Houston needs a lot of water in the summertime. Where does this water come from? Most of it from Lake Houston and Lake Conroe. So how are these important lake levels doing during this dry spell??
Thank goodness our lakes are at or even a little bit ABOVE thier normal pool levels. The rains we had in April and May were enough and in the right spot to keep the lakes full. This has been very important and kept Houston from going into water rationing during this dry go-around.
Here are the current lake levels:
Conroe: 200.5' (normal is about 200')
Houston: 44.5' (normal is about 44')
Livingston: 131.5' (normal is about 130)
