After a shearing hot 4th of July holiday weekend which saw more record 100 degree high
temperatures, rain may stage a comeback.
The rain could show up as early as Sunday evening just to the North of Houston around
a line from Brenham - College Station - Huntsville to Lufkin. The showers and thunderstorms could light up the evening skies Sunday. These storms will line up along
an approaching cool front with rain more likely Monday and Tuesday in the metro area
of Houston. Rainfall amounts will vary, but could be up to a quarter inch in some isolated
spots around town. Let's hope it keeps coming for most of the week.
