zzDroughtJuly9.JPG As soil moisture conditions continue to worsen the threat of fires will continue to be elevated for the duration of the month. As of July 9th most of Harris county has entered severe drought conditions with extreme drought moving into the far western end of the county and all of Fort Bend county. Not only is southeast Texas experiencing drought but forty percent of the state is now in a moderate to exceptional drought. However, rainfall will likely not be enough to lessen the drought.
