Memories of April's flooding downpours rushed back as the Houston area finally saw puddles in the streets. This is the greatest overall rainfall the Houston area has seen since the consecutive days of rain from April 27 - 28th. Thanks to Sunday's 1.80 inches of rain, Hobby saw nearly two and half inches of rain over the weekend. Clusters of storms forming near the sea breeze soaked the ground in Angleton, Pearland, League City and Dickinson. Galveston also saw a welcome inch of rain making for great sunsets from the island to lake Conroe as the storms broke late evening. Thanks to our viewers for sending all the great photos to our web site at KHOU.com. Keep them coming in. Even with all the rain around, College station managed to miss the rain again with only a trace of rain on Sunday. The record is 56 consecutive days without measurable rain back on August 20, 1993. That record could be broken if College Station comes up dry on Monday. More rain could occur through midweek as weak disturbances ride the jet stream South into Gulf coast. High pressure could build back in by the weekend and end the wet pattern.
