The first in a series of fall cool fronts this week brought out the umbrellas Monday afternoon. We can now look forward to a little less humidity and a couple of cooler nights. Temperatures will get back to our usual fall levels before the next front arrives early Friday morning. This front could also bring some rain Thursday evening into Friday morning. Rainfall averages are estimated to be much like the first front from .25" - .50" in the Houston metro area. Up to an inch of rain could fall from the Brazos river valley in the Lufkin area by Friday afternoon. Hopefully the front will clear the area by Friday evening allowing for a cooler start to our first October weekend.
