This will be the best 'weather' day for last minute Christmas shopping. Monday will see temps start out cold in the 30's then rebound into the mid 60's by afternoon with plenty of sunshine. It will be warmer Tuesday and Wednesday with highs in the low 70's but morning fog may be thick and rain chances will be increasing especially Wednesday as a cold front approaches.
Take a look at the -24f temperature readings in northwest Canada and Alaska. This cold air will be heading south and Houston will get a piece of it beginning Thursday Christmas eve and will keep it cold with morning freezes possible Christmas morning through the weekend.
