SUGAR LAND, TX – Sugar Land police are looking for a man who robbed a woman and her mother at gunpoint on Jan. 30.

A 20-year-old woman said she and her 52-year-old mother arrived at a friend’s house in the 1900 block of Magnolia Crest Lane shortly after noon.

They parked near the curb in front of the house and had just exited their vehicle when a man approached them and pointed a gun, according to police. The suspect then took the women’s purses and ran away.

The suspect was said to be in his mid- 20s, 5 feet 8 inches to 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighing 185 to 200 pounds. He had short hair and was wearing a t-shirt and athletic shoes.

A stolen credit card from one of the purses was later used at a Valero gas station located at 12550 Bellaire Blvd. Surveillance video from the store shows two men using the card to purchase gasoline. They were traveling in a dark gray Nissan Altima.
