HOUSTON – Three men faced a judge Monday morning in connection with a shooting in northwest Harris County that left a woman dead and sent another man to the hospital.
Bryan Tobin Shackerford, 20, of Katy, Andre Lasean Smith, 20, of Houston, and Antwoine Smith, 21, of Katy, are all charged capital murder in the slaying of Cinthia Cruz-Alcantara. The three men are being held without bond.
Antwoine Smith was arrested Monday morning after Andre Smith and Shackerford were taken into custody over the weekend.
Deputies with the Harris County Sheriff’s Office said the three men shot and murdered Cruz-Alcantara on Jan. 2 at the Meadow Creek Apartments in the 6400 block of York Meadows. A male friend of the victim was also shot and sent to Ben Taub Hospital in serious condition.
When deputies arrived at the apartment complex, they found Cruz-Alcantara’s friend by the front door of an apartment with several gunshot wounds and Cruz-Alcantara shot several times inside the unit.
