LAKE CHARLES, Louisiana – The “Billy Goat Bandit,” identified as 32-year-old DeAndrian Latroy Dently, was arrested Friday in Lake Charles, Louisiana, according to authorities.

Houston FBI and Lake Charles law enforcement acted on a tip and captured Dently around 5 p.m.
Authorities believe Dently is responsible for the robberies of 12 banks in Houston, Harris and Brazoria Counties. In all of the robberies, the “Billy Goat Bandit” would hand a note or verbally demand money from a teller. He also threatened to shoot the victims if they did not comply.
The suspect never showed a gun or physically hurt anyone during any of the 12 robberies.
He now faces robbery charges out of Houston and Harris County, and a threat charge out of Brazoria County. Authorities said further charges are likely pending.
Crime Stoppers offered a $5,000 reward for information leading to his capture.
