HOUSTON -- Harris County Sheriff’s deputies have arrested a man they say robbed a convenience store twice and surveillance video captured the suspect in action.
Gregory Arthur Williams, 24, was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
Investigators said Williams robbed the Courtesy Mart in the 5500 block of North Highway 6 on December 19, 2012 and January 1, 2013.
On both days, he entered the store wearing a grey hoodie, hopped over the counter with a pistol and demanded money from the store clerk. Both times the clerk, fearing for his life, handed it over.
After the video was released to the news media, a family member called and told authorities Williams’ identity.
After the clerk was able to positively identify Williams from a photo lineup, a warrant was issued for his arrest.
