HOUSTON—Harris County Sheriff’s deputies are searching for a suspect wanted for shooting a customer during the armed robbery of a gas station on December 16.
According to witnesses, a man entered the Valero station in the 700 block of Normandy Street around 7:40 p.m. and pointed a gun at the clerk’s head, demanding money. A customer rushed the suspect and tried to restrain him, but was shot.
The good Samaritan was treated for injuries sustained during the incident, and was released in good condition.
Surveillance cameras captured images of the suspect during the course of the robbery. The suspect wore a bandanna around his face, a multicolored ski cap, a gray “Nike” sweatshirt, black pants and gloves.
Anyone with information about the identity of the suspect is asked to contact Crime Stoppers of Houston.
