SUGAR LAND, Texas – Sugar Land police have released a sketch of a suspect in connection with armed robbery at a Subway sandwich shop on July 21.
According to the Sugar Land Police Department, the suspect entered a Subway located in the 3500 block of State Highway 6 at 10:45 p.m. He approached the counter, brandishing a handgun, and demanded money from the cash register.
The suspect was given a small amount of cash and then forced the two into the freezer, where they were told to remain for 15 minutes, police said.
After 15 minutes, the employees exited the freezer and called police. Neither employee was injured during the robbery.
The suspect was described as a black male, about 6 feet tall and weighing 200 pounds, police said. He was wearing glasses, a black baseball cap, black pants and was missing one of his front teeth.
This is the second time that this location has been hit within the last two months. On June 5, two male suspects robbed the sandwich shop in the same manner.
Police did not say that the two robberies were connected.
