HOUSTON – Rosenberg police are asking for the public’s help as they investigate the death of a cat who was found injured inside a plastic bag.
Rosenberg police were called to the intersection of West Street and Southgate Drive on Feb. 22 at about 8:45 a.m. Someone reported that a plastic bag on the side of the road appeared to be moving.
An officer opened the bag and found a gray, short hair, male tabby cat who had dried blood on the front legs. He seemed dazed and confused, but was conscious, police said.
The cat was transported to the Richmond Animal Hospital by a volunteer. The cat died from its injuries two days later.
The Rosenberg Animal Control Unit is seeking information about what happened to ‘Sam.’
