HOUSTON -- The FBI is asking for the public’s help in identifying an armed bank robber suspected in more than a dozen Houston-area bank robberies.
The man, dubbed the “Reckless Robber,” hit again Thursday at 10 a.m. at the Wells Fargo Bank at 1442 Spring Cypress Road in Spring, investigators said.
The robber placed a gun against the head of a bank employee and threatened to shoot until the bag was returned to him with the cash inside, police said. He then exited the bank and was seen walking toward the rear of the building.
Investigators said he is also suspected in recent bank robberies in Austin and San Antonio.
Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $10,000 for information leading to the charging and arrest of the suspect. Anyone with information is asked to call the Crime Stoppers Tip Line at 713-222-TIPS.
