Police search for male suspect involved in aggravated robbery

Police were searching for a male suspect responsible for an aggravated robbery at an area cash advance store on August 21.

HARRIS COUNTY, Texas – Police were searching for a male suspect responsible for an aggravated robbery at an area cash advance store on August 21.

The incident happened around 12:45 p.m. at a cash advance store located on the 4900 block of North State Highway 6.

According to police, the suspect approached a victim and raised his shirt to display a handgun in his waistband. The suspect ordered the female victim to surrender all of the store's cash. The victim complied and the suspect fled the scene on foot.

The suspect was described as a male between the ages of 30-35 years, standing approximately 6'1" tall and weighing approximately 220 pounds.

At the time of the offense the suspect was wearing a blue sweater with a white long-sleeved shirt, a red baseball cap, and dark pants. Surveillance photos showed the suspect with a short beard and mustache.

Surveillance cameras captured photos of the suspect in the store. Still images are available exclusively on the Crime Stoppers YouTube channel.
