Police search for armed man who robbed nighttime joggers

HOUSTON – Police are searching for a man who robbed two women who were jogging in a southeast Houston neighborhood.

The crime happened on May 29 at about 11:30 p.m. in the 108000 block of Beamer near Fuqua. The women jogged pass the man as he exited a convenience store, investigators said.

The man pointed a gun at the women and demanded money.  He got their cells phones before running off. Surveillance cameras at the convenience store captured the man before he exited.

Anyone with information about the identity of the suspect is asked to contact Crime Stoppers of Houston at 713-222-TIPS (8477).
