HOUSTON—A domestic dispute erupted in gunfire Thursday morning at a gas station in northeast Houston.
Police said a woman and her boyfriend were getting gasoline at the Phillips 66 on Crane at about 9 a.m. when the woman’s ex showed up.
The current boyfriend shot the ex in the back, police said.
Then, while driving away, the current boyfriend accidentally shot himself in the leg. He pulled into a Valero located at 3100 Eastex Freeway and Collingsworth. That’s where he threw the gun into a trash can near a Metro bus stop and sat down on the curb to wait for an ambulance, police said.
The woman’s ex-boyfriend was transported to LBJ Hospital. There was no word on his condition.
There was no word on possible charges.
