GALVESTON — A man convicted of aggravated robbery in the armed carjacking of a U.S. Navy veteran won’t be headed to prison. A jury gave him probation, a prosecutor said.
Joshua Ronald Wyatt, 20, was among four men detained in Houston in connection with a July 21, 2011, carjacking at Village by the Sea apartments, 6424 Central City Blvd., in Galveston.
Justin Schepens testified he returned to his complex about 1 a.m. and was approached by six men. One asked to use his cellphone, saying he’d just been carjacked.
