HOUSTON—Houston police released on Thursday a composite sketch of one suspect wanted in the fatal shooting of a man at 301 West Little York.
Investigators said two or three men are wanted in conection with the fatal shooting of Felipe Juarez, 34, of Houston. The shooting happened at about 12:30 a.m. on Jan. 16 at an apartment complex.
Juarez went to the apartment complex to visit some friends. While he and his friends were in the parking lot they were stopped by five unknown male suspects armed with guns. The group was led back up to the apartment where Juarez’s friends lived. The armed men ransacked and then left the apartment. As Juarez left the apartment he was shot by one or more suspects, police said.
One suspect is described only as a Hispanic male in his late 20s, about 5 feet 9 inches tall, with a slightly heavy build. Police released a composite sketch of this suspect—who goes by the nickname of “El Grande.” The men were last seen in a black 2000 to 2006 Chevrolet Tahoe.
The victim was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital in critical condition after the shooting and doctors pronounced him dead on Jan. 21.
