HOUSTON -- A Bellaire High School student is recovering after eating a muffin that may have been laced with drugs, according to Bellaire police.
Investigators said the girl got sick Tuesday and lost consciousness after eating part of the muffin during lunch.
She was transported to Texas Children’s Hospital, but has been treated and released.
Bellaire police and HISD officials said the girl told them she bought a muffin off campus during her lunch break and that it was laced with some sort of drugs.
Police are now testing the pastry to figure out what was in it.
