HCSO: Man steals identity, purchases $18,000 worth of goods

HOUSTON – The Harris County Sherrif's Office is searching for a suspect accused of using a man’s identity to purchase thousands of dollars worth of goods.

Deputies said the suspect stole a 56-year-old man’s identity in December an made $18,000 worth of purchases.

Authorities say he’s in his early 30’s to late 40’s, has a medium build and short brown hair. He was also seen driving a white pickup truck.

Anyone with information on the suspect is asked to contact Crime Stoppers of Houston at (713) 222-TIPS. A reward of up to $5,000 will be given for information leading to an arrest.
