HOUSTON – A former Bergner and Johnson Design flower shop employee was accused of writing unauthorized checks to herself.
According to court documents, shortly after 47-year-old Caroline Hendricks was hired as a bookkeeper in July 2011, she started writing unauthorized checks to herself. For two years she pocketed close to $140,000.
Hendricks has been charged with aggregate theft.
It was found through an audit.
Hendricks remains in jail on an $80,000 bond.
