FORT BEND COUNTY, Texas – Authorities are trying to track down a bold criminal who allegedly swiped a woman’s Samsung Nexus Tablet while she was standing in line at a Walgreens pharmacy in Fort Bend County.
On Monday, deputies were called to the pharmacy located on Highway 6 near Bissonet to investigate a report of a theft which happened a few days earlier. They were told that a customer’s computer device was taken while she was waiting in the store checkout line.
The victim said, on Friday, she was standing in line to pay while another woman was standing behind her. The victim said the woman tried to help her with her preferred customer card, even though she already knew what to do with it.
When the victim returned home, she discovered her tablet had been stolen. She returned to the store and was allowed to view in-store video which showed the woman lifting the tablet from her purse, deputies said.
The suspect had a medium-brown complexion, was heavy set, in her 40s and had blonde/ brown curly hair to her shoulders. She was wearing a multi-colored floral design dress.
The video also shows the suspect entering the store with two other females who are persons of interest in the case.
Information which leads to the apprehension and filing of charges on the suspect involved could earn a reward of up to $5,000.
