LA MARQUE, Texas – Marquis Tarver, Dickinson’s most wanted suspect, was taken into custody on July 18.
A deputy with Galveston County Precinct 8 was able to trace Tarver to a girlfriend’s apartment on Rosalee Street.
Tarver was arrested by small joint task force as he pulled up to the apartment. The task force consisted of personnel from the La Marque and Dickinson police departments, Texas Department of Public Safety and the deputy from Pct. 8.
Tarver is being held in the Galveston County Jail on bonds totaling $76,000 on the Dickinson felony theft warrant, 17 Galveston County Precinct 8 misdemeanor theft by checks warrants and a forgery warrant from Clute, Texas.
