HOUSTON – Authorities are asking for the public’s help in finding a man who robbed a bank Monday afternoon in northwest Houston.

The robbery happened around 2:20 p.m. at the Wells Fargo bank on the 10900 block of Grant Road.

Authorities said the suspect entered the bank and passed a note demanding money to the teller. The teller handed the money over and the robber exited the bank in an unknown direction.

Witnesses described the suspect as a man, 18 to 25 years old, standing 5 feet 6 inches tall, with a dark complexion and closely shaved hair.

Authorities said he was wearing a dark button-down short-sleeved shirt and long denim shorts with unique stitching on the pockets. He was also wearing white sneakers with bright blue soles.

Anyone with information in the case is asked to call Crime Stoppers at (713)222-TIPS. An award of up to $5,000 is offered for information leading to an arrest.
