FRIENDSWOOD, Texas – Two fugitives were arrested by Friendswood police Wednesday after traffic stops, investigators said.
Police said 32-year-old Deric Epps, who was one of the top 10 fugitives wanted by the Galveston County Sheriff's Office, was stopped for a traffic violation around 5 p.m. Wednesday. During the stop, police discovered Epps to have outstanding felony warrants out of Galveston County for evading arrest and possession of marijuana. He was being held on $80,000 bond per charge.
The other fugitive arrested Wednesday was Antonio Martinez, a 27-year-old from League City. During a traffic stop, Martinez was found to have two outstanding warrants stemming from two previous assault charges. Martinez was being held without bond at the Friendswood City Jail and was scheduled to be transferred to the Galveston County Jail later Thursday afternoon.
