BAYTOWN, Texas – Police are asking for the public’s help in locating a suspect wanted for the robberies committed at two Baytown businesses over the past week.
Police said officers responded to a robbery call at the Check Into Cash in the 5000 block of Garth Road Thursday at 5:26 p.m. and determined an armed suspect had entered the business and demanded money from the clerk. The suspect then fled the store with an unknown amount of money.
Officers were again dispatched to a robbery Friday around 9:43 a.m. at the First Convenience Bank located inside a Kroger in the 1700 block of North Alexander. Witnesses told police that an armed suspect again entered the bank and demanded money from an employee before fleeing with an undetermined amount.
Police say the suspect was armed with a black semi-automatic handgun in both incidents, leading them to believe the robberies were related.
