HOUSTON—A suspect in a bank robbery-turned-police chase has been handed over to the FBI.
Harris County investigators say Joseph Walker, of Spring, held up a Woodforest National Bank in a Kroger in the 15000 of Champion Forest Drive Friday afternoon.
A bank employee followed Walker in his car until deputies caught up with the suspect, investigators said.
Deputies said Walker then led them on a 20 minute pursuit, which ended when Walker lost control of his vehicle in a wooded area near the 3500 block of Hirschfield Road.
He was taken into custody at the scene.
Walker has been charged with evading arrest and robbery/threats, investigators said.
