HOUSTON—Police have released the identity of a man accused in a bank robbery-turned-shooting in northwest Harris County Tuesday.
Investigators say Jerome Goody was one of three armed men who held up a Preferred Bank.
During the heist, the suspects exchanged gunfire with a deputy who was working security.
Both Goody and the deputy were shot.
Goody was arrested at LBJ Hospital and has been charged with aggravated robbery, aggravated assault and a drug offense.
The deputy is expected to recover, but the two other suspects were still on the loose Wednesday.
