HOUSTON – A man was facing charges Tuesday in connection with a violent robbery at a Houston apartment last year.
Antonio Jerrell Ary, 19, is charged with aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon.
According to court documents, Ary and another man arrived at an apartment in the 12900 block of Brant Rock Drive on November 26 and identified themselves as police.
The victim said the suspects beat on the door and said to open it, and eventually kicked it down.
The victim said Ary approached him with a silver revolver, so he ran out onto the patio and jumped off the third-floor balcony.
Four shots were fired at the victim, and he was struck by a bullet in the arm.
The victim said he went into his downstairs neighbor’s apartment to call police, and as he was on the phone, he saw the suspects run away with his PlayStation 3 game system.
Three days later, the victim said someone shot out a tire on his vehicle, and then called to tell him about it. Police said they traced that call to the second suspect’s phone.
The victim identified Ary and the other suspect as the men who robbed him through a photo lineup, and charges were filed on February 6, 2012.
