HOUSTON—Investigators have arrested a suspect in a deadly shooting on Old Bammel North Houston Road.
Roberto Ventura, 18, is charged with murder in the death of 22-year-old James E. Hill.
Hill was shot around 5:20 p.m. on July 24, 2012, in the 10200 block of Old Bammel North Houston.
According to Harris County investigators, Hill and a suspect – later identified as Ventura -- got into some kind of altercation. During the fight, investigators say Ventura pulled a gun from his waistband and shot Hill multiple times.
He fled on foot, and Hill was pronounced dead at the scene.
Ventura was arrested the following day, around 5 a.m.
