HOUSTON – Police have arrested a second suspect in an identity theft ring connected to Texas Children’s Hospital.
Investigators say someone stole Social Security numbers from hospital employees and used the information to open electricity accounts in their names.
"There is a trend right now in the world of identity theft for people to use Social Security numbers in an effort to steal, essentially, power," Harris County Assistant District Attorney Ed McClees said.
Police are still searching for a third suspect.
