ROSHARON, Texas – A Brazoria County man was arrested and charged with aggravated kidnapping over the weekend.
Around 1:40 a.m. on February 12, Brazoria County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a home in the 12600 block of Rio Comal Street after receiving a 911 hang-up call.
When they got there, they were met by a 35-year-old woman who said she’d been kidnapped by her boyfriend.
The woman told deputies she and her boyfriend, Kent Lyons, 35, got into an argument earlier in the evening. At some point during the argument, the woman said Lyons started hitting her in the face and head and forced her to leave with him against her will.
She said she was released a short time later, and her injuries were not life-threatening.
With the help of HPD, Brazoria County deputies were able to locate and arrest Lyons later that day.
He was being held Monday in the Brazoria County Jail on $65,000 bond.
