HOUSTON—Crime Stoppers and investigators with the Harris County Sheriff’s Office are on the hunt for a suspect they say choked a Kohl’s employee during a robbery.
On December 30, 2010, the suspect entered the Kohl’s store in the 20600 block of the North Freeway around 4:20 p.m.
Investigators said he picked out a pair of shoes, put them on and put his old shoes in the box.
The suspect then selected a T-shirt, concealed it and left the store without trying to pay, investigators said.
When a store employee approached the man and told him to come back inside, investigators said the suspect struck the employee in the chest and grabbed her around her neck with his hands.
The suspect eventually released the employee and fled on foot.
The employee suffered minor injuries.
The suspect’s image was captured by surveillance cameras. He is between 5 feet, 7 inches and 5 feet, 9 inches tall and weighs about 150 pounds.
Anyone with information on his identity or whereabouts is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS. Tips can also be submitted online at crime-stoppers.org.
A $5,000 reward is being offered for information leading to the identification, charging or arrest of this suspect.
