HOUSTON – Crime Stoppers and police are looking for a man with a history of family violence believed to have violated custody orders and taken his daughter back to Mexico more than three years ago.
In 2005, Reynaldo Diaz’s wife was granted full custody of their 4-year-old daughter.
Diaz was granted visitation rights.
But on May 29, 2007, police said Diaz picked up the girl for a scheduled visit and failed to return her.
No one has seen or heard from him or the girl since.
Police said Diaz quit his job, sold his house and possibly moved to Mexico.
He’s facing criminal charges of interference with child custody.
Diaz is 5 feet, 6 inches tall and weighs about 140 pounds.
Anyone with information on his whereabouts or those of the girl is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 713-222-8477.
Tips can also be submitted online at crime-stoppers.org or via text message by sending TIP610 plus the info to 274637.
Tips leading to Diaz’s arrest could earn a cash reward of up to $5,000.
