HOUSTON – A man already accused of killing a pregnant woman has now been charged with another murder.
Police believe Brandon Larue Jackson shot and killed 43-year-old Casey Reed on July 7, 2010.
Reed was found dead in the 2200 block of Riverside Drive.
Investigators said he was shot, but until they received a Crime Stoppers tip about Jackson’s alleged involvement, they had no suspects or leads.
That tip came in on October 31, 2011, police said.
Jackson was in jail at the time, being held in connection with the July 2011 murder of Lori Pittman, whose lifeless body was found in the 3300 block of Calumet. Pittman, who was pregnant, was also shot, investigators said.
Police said when they interviewed Jackson, he admitted to his role in Reed’s death.
