HOUSTON – A 45-year-old Houston man was sentenced to 121 months in prison Friday for distribution and possession of child pornography.

Michael Johnathan Radcliff pleaded guilty to the charges on November 4, 2011.

Following his prison term, Radcliff will be required to serve 10 years on supervised release and pay $3,500 in restitution to a known victim. He will also have to register as a sex offender.

The case against Radcliff began when agents with the FBI in Dallas were conducting an undercover online child porn investigation. Those agents came across a person in Houston sharing child pornography using peer-to-peer file-sharing software. The matter was then transferred to Houston, where other FBI agents continued the investigation. They identified the  person sharing files as Radcliff.

On April 29, 2011, agents executed a federal search warrant at Radcliff’s home in Houston and seized a desktop computer, a laptop and a thumb drive.

They found at least 949 child-porn images and 92 child-porn videos on those devices.

Radcliff has been in federal custody since his arrest on July 13, 2011, where he will remain pending transfer to a U.S. Bureau of Prisons facility to be determined in the near future.
