HOUSTON—A suspect in the May 9 shooting death of a Houston man was still on the run Tuesday, and investigators were hoping the public could help find him.
According to police, Reginald King was shot at an apartment complex in the 5700 block of Thousand Oaks Circle after he was lured there by a girl he met at a gas station.
Investigators said he was walking the girl to her apartment when they were confronted by several men who tried to rob them.
Police said King threw his keys and tried to run, but he was shot in the back by Joshua Marshall.
King died at the scene.
Marshall was charged with capital murder, and a warrant for his arrest was issued on May 12.
Police said the girl who lured King to the complex has also been charged with capital murder, but since she’s a juvenile, she has been referred to the Harris County Juvenile Probation Department.
Marshall is about 5 feet, 11 inches tall and weighs 160 pounds. He has brown eyes and black hair. Police believe he is still in the Houston area.
Anyone with information on his whereabouts is urged to contact Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS. Tips may also be submitted online at crime-stoppers.org.
Tips leading to Marshall’s arrest could earn up to $5,000.
