FORT BEND COUNTY, Texas—Fort Bend County detectives were looking for clues Monday in the apparent shooting death of a 49-year-old woman.
Deputies were called to the 3900 block of Dewalt Manor in the Sienna Plantation subdivision on July 7 by family members of Leesa Nascimento after she failed to show up for work.
Deputies searched Nascimento’s home, but could not locate her or her vehicle.
Two days later, Sugar Land police officers found a body in a lake on Lakebend at Sugar Creek, near the Southwest Freeway.
The Galveston County Medical Examiner conducted an autopsy on the body and determined it to be that of Leesa Nascimento. The medical examiner said she was shot to death.
