HOUSTON – Crime Stoppers and HPD cold case investigators hope the public can help stir up some leads in the 2005 murder of a 27-year-old Houston woman.
On April 9, 2005, some children playing in Scottcrest Park, located in the 10700 block of Rosehaven, found the body of Montiya Thomas on the banks of Sims Bayou.
The kids told their mother, who called 911.
Police believe Thomas was shot near her home on Tavenor Street, and then the killer or killers dumped her body in the bayou.
