HOUSTON -- It’s been six months since someone struck and killed Lauren Wallace at the East Freeway and Normandy, and police are still looking for a suspect.
Wallace, 19, was hit sometime between 2 a.m. and 2:30 a.m. on Sunday, September 5.
Her body was found in the grass near the an inbound freeway entrance ramp at 7 a.m. that same day.
Police believe the car that struck Wallace was a 2003-2005 dark-colored Toyota Camry.
The car would have front-end damage on the passenger side.
Family and friends were planning a memorial for Wallace on Saturday, March 5, at 1 p.m.
They said they will meet at San Jacinto Cemetery to distribute Crime Stoppers flyers and release balloons in remembrance of Wallace.

A cash reward of up to $5,000 is available for information leading to an arrest in the case.
