Crime Blog: 5 years later, Pasadena man's murder still unsolved

PASADENA, Texas—Tuesday marks the five-year anniversary of the murder of James "Scooter" Andrews.

Crime Stoppers and Pasadena homicide investigators are hoping someone out there can provide a tip to help them find Andrews’ killer.

Andrews was killed on Dec. 22, 2004 around 6:55 a.m. in front of his home, located at 2311 Rosemead in Pasadena.

Police said he apparently approached a vehicle that had pulled up in front of his house and was shot.

His wife came out a short time later to check on him and found him lying in the yard.

He died at the scene.

Anyone with information about Andrews’ case is urged to call Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.

Crime Stoppers, accompanied by private sources, will pay up to $7,620 for information leading to the identification, arrest and/or charging of any suspect in this case.
