HOUSTON – Authorities have charged three suspects accused in the fatal shooting of a man Sunday afternoon in southwest Houston.
The shooting happened about 2:30 p.m. in the 5400 block of Birdwood.
According to police, 31-year-old Kareem James was involved in a shootout with Charles Bryant Jr. in the parking lot of an apartment complex. Police said Bryant shot James several times, and then fled the scene in a Ford F-150 pickup truck with suspects Charlie Minix and Alexandra Hudson. James died at the scene.
Authorities said Bryant was charged with murder in the case.
Minix received charges of manufacturing and delivery of a controlled substance. Hudson was charged with possession of a controlled substance.
