HOUSTON -- Three people convicted in a scheme in which more than $13 million was stolen from an oil industry company have been sentenced to prison terms and ordered to pay restitution.
Harris County District Attorney Pat Lykos said in a statement Wednesday that the three were sentenced last week. Lykos says 55-year-old Nancy Moreno was sentenced to 30 years in prison, 47-year-old Yvette Ybarra Trevino was sentenced to 15 years and 44-year-old Ernest Trevino was sentenced to 20 years.
Lykos says the three were employed by Davis-Lynch when they misappropriated millions in company funds and used them to purchase luxurious homes, jewelry and vacations.
The three have been ordered to pay $13 million in restitution as a condition of parole.
