HOUSTON – Three Houston teens are in custody on murder charges in the death of a Harris County man on December 30.
Williams Jhonatan Rodrigues, Jonathan Bolz and Alexis Torres, all 19, were charged with capital murder on Friday in the death of 25-year-old Omar Malik.
Police said Malik was seen by neighbors pulling up to his home in the 4400 block of Sloangate in the Birnam Wood subdivision around 1 a.m. the morning of his death.
Moments later, neighbors reported hearing gunshots.
Malik was found dead in the street in front of his home.
Neighbors said they saw a vehicle speeding away from the scene after the shots were fired.
According to court documents, the three men were attempting to rob Malik when the shooting occurred.
