HOUSTON – Police took two Pearland High School students accused of having an unloaded gun on campus into custody Friday, school officials said.
School officials said a student reported purchasing a gun from another student who brought it to campus for a cash exchange.
No threat was ever made.
“As a campus and a school district, we take the safety of our students very seriously. Immediately, we began an investigation with assistance from the Pearland Police Department. Both students have been taken into custody by Pearland police, who also recovered the unloaded weapon,” the school said in a statement released Friday.
