HOUSTON – All main lanes of US 290 from FM 1960 to Huffmeister are now open to traffic after they were closed during Tuesday evening’s rush hour.
An 18-wheeler overturned near Huffmeister and damaged an overhead sign structure. It was expected to take at least six to eight hours to assess and repair the damage.
The driver wasn't seriously injured.
The US 290 westbound frontage road was expected to remain closed until the cleanup was completed.
