The radar was and continues to be a sight for sore eyes. Widespread rain and thunder continues to fall on the central, north and western counties and is slowly working its way south of I-10 and well into Ft. Bend, Wharton and Jackson counties. Although the rain will slowly taper off as we head toward midday, I expect more thunderstorms will fire along the outflow boundary in the southern tier of counties later this afternoon. A few Isolated thunderstorms may also re-fire north of I-10 in the heat of the late afternoon.
Most rain totals have been in the 1/4"-1/2" range. Grimes, Austin, Colorado, Washington and Walker counties have seen higher amounts with some areas getting close to 3" this morning. Congrats!
