HOUSTON – A jackknifed 18-wheeler shut down traffic Thursday at Interstate 10 and MCarty Lane in both directions, Houston TranStar officials said.
The jackknifed truck leaked fuel and blocked three eastbound main lanes of I-10 at MCarty Lane. The westbound lanes were blocked by emergency responder vehicles.
Drivers were getting around the wreckage by taking the exit ramp at Wayside.
The cleanup was expected to last into rush hour so drivers are urged to take an alternate route.
