HOUSTON -- On Saturday, Sept. 8, get ready to pay more when you pass through the toll booth.

The Harris County Toll Road Authority is raising the rates on the Sam Houston Tollway, the Westpark Tollway, the Hardy Toll Road, and one plaza on the Fort Bend Pkwy Extension (between US 90A and SH Tollway).

EZ Tag customer rates will increase from $1.30 to $1.40 and cash customers rate will increase from $1.50 to $1.75. Ship Channel Bridge rates will remain the same.

Katy Managed Lanes will also see a toll increase starting on Saturday. Peak hour rate will increase from $4 to $5 for a full trip. Westbound Peak hours will shift one hour earlier.

Off peak rates will remain the same, but rates for "Shoulder Peak" times (the one-hour time period on either side of Eastbound and Westbound Peak Times) will increase from $2 to $2.50.
